Project value: 9,749,628.35 lei, of which 2,796,098.95 lei represents the eligible non-reimbursable value from the Cohesion Fund (CF), 2,796,098.94 lei the eligible non-reimbursable financing from the national budget and 4,157,430.46 lei totally ineligible (including VAT).

Project objective(s): The investment aims to modernize the Port of Constanța through investments in the port superstructure that will attract new cargo flows and contribute to increasing the efficiency in the exploitation of the infrastructure, the safety and the attractiveness of naval transport, through the facilities offered. Thus, the purchased mobile crane will contribute to reducing costs and transport times, while increasing the efficiency of loading/unloading operations, with a capacity of 60 to/h. The investment complies with Stage V emission standards, having a positive impact on the environment and supporting the development of naval and multimodal transport.

Target group and final beneficiaries: transport and logistics companies, local and central authorities, local community, port workers, international companies and investors, etc.

Main results and impact at community level:

The investment will contribute to increasing the processing capacity of goods originating/destination in Ukraine. Thus, the average additional annual volume of goods in relation to Ukraine will increase to 360,000 tons, increasing the efficiency of loading/unloading operations from 50 tons/hour to 60 tons/hour. By purchasing the mobile crane, FAST FREIGHT SRL increases its competitiveness and implicitly its attractiveness for logistics flows in Ukraine, offering the Romanian and Ukrainian community the possibility of carrying out economic activities related to these flows in good conditions. The investment supports the sustainable development of the port and the local community, by complying with the requirements of social responsibility and environmental protection, increasing efficiency and sustainability in the long term.
